Inspired by a lesson from Chick Corea &#8211; \u2018In this business, there are only three things: composition, composition&#8230; and composition\u2019 &#8211; Maestro has spent years refining his approach, gradually allowing improvisation to reshape his writing. His solo work is divided into \u2018Miniatures\u2019 &#8211; short, spontaneous improvisations &#8211; and \u2018Tales\u2019, extended explorations of melodic and harmonic ideas.
