After an absence of nearly two years, James Carter Organ Trio returns to France for 2 unmissable shows, in Coutances on May 31st, and La Villette on September 6th. For the Parisian show, the group will reinterpret one of the most influential albums in the Jazz history: \u201cGiant Steps\u201c by John Coltrane, released in 1960. James Carter, in addition to be a renowned saxophonist, is also a flutist and a clarinetist; this instrumental diversity will allow him to bring new sounds to John Coltrane\u2019s creations. 2014-2015 also mark the 50th anniversary of another fundamental album of Coltrane\u2019s career: “A Love Supreme\u201d. For this anniversary, Christophe Dal Sasso and Lionel Belmondo associate, leading together a big band and revisiting this intense and mystical work.
