The British bass player Dave Holland, Indian percussionnist Zakir Hussain and American saxophonist Chris Potter are legends, atypical virtuosos, aesthetic colorists who have never ceased to open new horizons to jazz…

Dave Holland supported giants named Miles Davis, Stan Getz and Chick Corea before establishing himself as a beacon for acoustic and electric bass, an eminent member of a generation which has contributed to enlarging the expressive and melodic capacities of the jazz bass.
In his Indian homeland, Zakir Hussain, with his dazzling, bubbling and generous virtuosity, is an icon, THE prince of the tabla, that key percussion instrument of Northern Indian music which he has always brought with him into the land of jazz, in particular with John McLaughlin; his partner in the Shakti band…
And finally Chris Potter, twenty years their junior, is the most upstanding and impressive saxophonist of his generation, sideman for the entire jazzosphere (he has taken part in more than 150 albums!)

The trio will be in concert on Saturday, July 16th, 2022 at the Jazz à Juan festival 61st edition!
