It will be for the spring of 2022. The group founded by Joe Lovano and Dave Douglas “Sound Prints” will be playing a few concerts.

The project was conceived as a living tribute to Wayne Shorter (who composed one of the songs specifically for the band) and includes original Wayne Shorter pieces as well as newly composed original music influenced by Shorter’s voice.

A new album will be released on the “Greenleaf Music” label on May 7, 2021.

The other members of Sound Prints are Joey Baron on drums, Linda Oh on bass and Lawrence Fields on piano.
