Avishai Cohen

A pianist by training, Avishai Cohen became a bassist after hearing the genius of Jaco Pastorius for the first time. In 1992, he left for New York where he met the man who would become his mentor: Chick Corea.
A member of his trio, Avishai Cohen inspires, learns and innovates. In 2002, he created his own Label Razdaz Recordz within which he developed his music in numerous projects, all carrying harmonious and deep instrumentation.

Singer, pianist, and bass player, he understands and seeks to connect sounds together, with respect for classical tradition and dazzling modernity. Avishai Cohen returns with a new album “Shifting Sands”, welcoming the exceptional young musician Roni Kaspi on drums.
