Two long-term friends, Joshua Redman and Brad Mehldau are about to release their first duet album. “Nearness” consists of selected tracks which were recorded during their recent European tour. Both artists used to regularly work together in the past. Then, Brad Mehldau was revealed in 1994 in Joshua Redman’s quartet. 16 years later, pianist’s orchestral album “Highway Rider” features the saxohpone player on most of the tracks. For more than 2 decades, both artists had remarkable carriers, and became essential figures of the international jazz.

They put their complicity at the service of a constantly evolving music, which promises an amazing album. The duet will be on tour in France: November 5th in Strsabourg, November 13th in Lyon and November 14th in Paris.
