Saturday, June 25th from 9:35 pm to 11:05 pm, La Défense Jazz Festival welcomes Herbie Hancock as headliner for the 2022 edition!!
A true icon of modern music, Herbie Hancock has transcended boundaries and genres while maintaining his unmistakable voice. After more than sixty years of career and fourteen Grammy Awards, including album of the year for River: The Joni Letters, he continues to amaze audiences around the world.
Herbie Hancock has been a figure in every pop music movement since the 1960s. As a member of the Miles Davis quintet, pioneering a revolutionary sound in jazz, he also developed new approaches on his own recordings, followed by his work in the 70s – with record albums such as Headhunters – which combined electric jazz with funk and rock in an innovative style that continues to influence contemporary music.
There are few artists in the music industry who have had more influence on acoustic and electronic jazz and R&B than him.
Herbie Hancock remains where he has always been: at the forefront of culture, technology, business and music.
His latest album Milestones of Jazz Legends was released in January 2022, to be discovered live on the stage of La Défense Jazz Festival on Saturday June 25.
